Abstract

|
Three External Quality Assessment trials which composed of 11 control materials(6 chemical materials, two photographs of urinary sediments, 1 microscopic material, two hCG test materials) for interlaboratory quality control assessment in
urinalysis
were
performed with 326 participants in the year of 1994.
The survey results are summarized as follows:
1. The performance of biochemical test were good but the results of positive sample of bilirubin revealed the low concordance rate. The most contributable reason for that seemed to be originated from the different color development mechanism
and
sensitivity of reagent strips.
2. In quality control of urinary sediment, the experimental materials for practical microscopy were sent to the some participants and seemed to be possible in the next year.
3. For the hCG test performance, the consideration of the manufacture and mailing of control materials are required for the successful assessment.
